How do I exclude specific TTS synthesisers in my alt format software?
Applies to:
- EasyReader
- EasyProducer
- EasyConverter
Description:
Some TTS voices cause problems with EasyConverter (and other Alt Format products) due to password protection or errors in the SAPI interface.
One example is the password protected TruVoice that is shipped with ZoomText.
Solution/workaround:
With the release of EasyConverter 2.01, EasyProducer 1.51 and EasyReader 2.31 there is an XML file included that lists TTS voices for exclusion.
Please note! This file should only be edited by advanced users only. On some systems the file can only be edited by the System Administrator.
The file is called ttsExcludeList.xml and is located in:
XP (English): C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Dolphin
Vista (English): C:\ProgramData\Dolphin
For a review of the file's content and instructions on how to edit this XML file, please download the attached document.
