Description:
SuperNova provides comprehensive support for Microsoft Word. This includes Quick Navigation Keys, Heading Style announcements and Table navigation hot keys. If you find these features are not working as expected then one of the following solutions may resolve the problem.
Solution/workaround:
To resolve performance issues in Microsoft Word:
· You must start SuperNova before you run Microsoft Word. This is to allow the Dolphin Office Helper Addin to install. If you have run Microsoft Word before running SuperNova, then exit and restart Microsoft Word.
· If you open a document Word 2010 considers a security threat then Word shows the document in “Protected View”. This provides only limited access to the document. If you are sure the document is not a security threat then you can improve access to the document by turning off “Protected Mode”.
To do this:
1. Press ALT + F. Backstage View opens.
2. TAB to “Edit document” and press SPACEBAR. Word unprotects the document.
· If Microsoft Word experienced a problem and closes while SuperNova was running then Microsoft Office may disable the Dolphin Office Helper Addin. To enable the add-in you must do the following:
If running Microsoft Word XP or 2003:
1. Press ALT + H. The Microsoft Word “Help” menu opens.
2. DOWN ARROW to “About” and press ENTER. The “About” dialog box opens.
3. TAB to the “Disabled Items” button and press SPACEBAR. The “Disabled Items” dialog opens.
4. TAB to the disabled items list and select the “Dolphin Office Plugin”.
5. TAB to the “Enable” button and press SPACEBAR.
6. TAB to the “Close” button and press SPACEBAR.
7. Exit and restart Word.
If running Microsoft Word 2007 or 2010:
1. Press ALT + F. The “Office” menu opens.
2. DOWN ARROW to “Word Options” and press ENTER. The “Options” dialog box opens.
3. DOWN ARROW to “Add-ins” and TAB to the “Manage” list.
4. Select “COM Add-ins”, TAB to the “Go” button and press SPACEBAR. The “COM Add-ins” dialog box opens.
5. In the “Add-ins available” list, select “Dolphin Office Helper Addin” and press SPACEBAR. Word selects the item.
6. TAB to the “OK” button and press SPACEBAR. The dialog box closes.
7. Exit and restart Word.
Note the “Dolphin Office Helper Addin” is used in Microsoft Office Word and in Microsoft Office Outlook.
