Error: The CDD was not found. It will be installed on reboot. Press Enter to reboot, or Escape to continue running without the interceptor

Applies to:

  • SuperNova Access Suite
  • SuperNova Magnifier
  • SuperNova Reader Magnifier
  • SuperNova Screen Reader

Description:

The error message "The CDD was not found. It will be installed on reboot. Press Enter to reboot, or Escape to continue running without the interceptor" is displayed when launching Supernova 11.58 or earlier. Pressing ENTER to reboot does not correct the problem.

Solution/workaround:

This may occur following a Windows update. The problem can be resolved by installing the 11.58 Dolphin Interceptor.

1. Download the 11.58 Dolphin Interceptor package. This is compatible with version 11 and earlier Dolphin products. This can be downloaded from the following link:

http://195.171.72.178/updatesandpatches/DolphinAutoStartDCMInterceptor1158.exe


2. Follow the onscreen prompts to extract the Interceptor files into a folder on your computer. The files will be extracted to:

C:\DolphinInterceptor1158


3. In the above location locate the folder called "Interceptor" and within here run the file called "installinterceptor".

4. Reboot the computer when prompted. Supernova should launch without errors following the reboot.
