Unable to locate component. Failed to start because XmlLite.dll was not found.

Applies to:

  • SuperNova Access Suite
  • SuperNova Magnifier
  • SuperNova Reader Magnifier
  • SuperNova Screen Reader

Description:

When attempting to load Supernova on a Windows XP Service Pack 2 computer, the above error message is displayed, and Supernova does not launch.

Solution/workaround:

A required file that is included in Windows XP Service Pack 3 is not available. Updating to Service Pack 3 should resolve this issue. If this is not a possibility, installing a specific Microsoft update will correct the problem also.
