Web page text is not smooth in Windows Internet Explorer 9 when using SuperNova

Applies to:

  • SuperNova Access Suite
  • SuperNova Magnifier
  • SuperNova Reader Magnifier

Description:

The text on web pages when viewed in Internet Explorer 9 is not smooth, and appears broken up when magnified, making it difficult to read.

Solution/workaround:

If you are running a version of Dolphin magnification software older than 12.04, please udpate this to ensure compatibility with IE9.


IF you are running SuperNova 12.04 or later, please take the following steps


1. Open Internet Explorer 9
2. Press ALT + T. The "Tools" menu opens
3. Use the UP and DOWN ARROW keys to select "Internet Options"
4. Press ENTER. The "Internet Options" dialog box opens.
5. Press LEFT CONTROL+TAB to move to the "Advanced" property sheet
6. TAB to the list of items and press SPACEBAR to select "Use software rendering instead of GPU rendering ON"
7. TAB to the OK button and press ENTER.
8. Restart Internet Explorer.
