Some text is not spoken in Dolphin Launchpad dialog boxes.

Applies to:

  • SuperNova Access Suite
  • SuperNova Magnifier
  • SuperNova Reader Magnifier
  • SuperNova Screen Reader

Description:

After opening the Dolphin LaunchPad, some of the text within the dialog boxes is not spoken.

Solution/workaround:

This problem may occur if one of the following two scenarios is true:

Scenario 1: The Dolphin LaunchPad is opened by pressing CAPS LOCK+F10 when the Supernova Control Panel window is in focus (i.e. it is the foreground, or active, application window).

In the scenario above, make sure the Supernova Control Panel is not the foreground window when you access the LaunchPad. To do this, simply press ALT+TAB to move away from the Supernova Control Panel before pressing CAPS LOCK+F10 to access the LaunchPad.

Scenario 2: The Supernova Control Panel is set to be hidden when minimised, and is minimised when you attempt to access the LaunchPad.

The workaround for scenario two is to disable the option to "hide" the Control Panel when it is minimised. To do this:

1. Press LEFT CONTROL + SPACEBAR. The Supernova Control Panel opens.
2. Press ALT + G. The "General" menu opens.
3. Use the UP and DOWN ARROW keys to select "Control Panel" and press ENTER. The "Control Panel Settings" dialog box opens.
4. TAB to "Hide when minimised" and press SPACEBAR to unselect the checkbox.
5. TAB to "OK" and press SPACEBAR.
