EasyProducer displays an error “Could not save HTML. Could not save the current document as HTML. Error 2146823156” when attempting to save a DTB.

Description:

The above error message is displayed when trying to save a DAISY Digital Talking Book in Microsoft Word 2007or 2010 on Windows XP.

Solution/workaround:

You can work around the problem by changing the format of the saved Word document prior to saving as a DTB.

Cannot Save HTML Error Dialog Box

To do this:

1.       Press ALT + F. The Office menu opens.

2.       ARROW DOWN to “Save as...” and press ENTER. The “Save As...” dialog box opens.

3.       Under the “Save as Type” list box, choose “Microsoft Word 97-2003 Format” and save the document.

4.       Choose the “Save as DTB” button on the EasyProducer toolbar again.
