Latest on Lunar and CCTV Compatibility

In recent years, tech-savvy students and their teachers have been able to integrate their video magnifiers (CCTVs) with computers, allowing them to use their computer monitor for the CCTV image and split the display area between the video magnifier and their computer software. These PC compatible video magnifiers allowed the student to work on the computer (magnified with Lunar or Supernova) while using a portion of the computer screen to view the magnified video image of a textbook or document. The combination works well together.
The new generation of video magnifiers are much more portable and connect directly to a laptop PC via USB port. Students can easily swivel the camera between a document on the desk and a whiteboard, viewing the magnified image on their laptop screen. Unlike previous video magnifiers, computer software is used to generate a digital magnified picture in a window on the computer. This allows the user to switch between the video magnifier and other computer applications quickly and easily. The only limitation has been that until recently it has not been possible to separate the video magnifier window from standard magnification software and only full screen viewing was practical. This caused a number of complications for the user, and popular viewing options such as split screen, window or 'picture on picture' were not possible.
Dolphin has worked with leading CCTV companies such as Ash Technologies, Optelec and LVI International to solve this problem. Dolphin are now pleased to announce full compatibility between our latest range of magnification software V7 (Supernova, Lunar Plus and Lunar) and this new generation of digital CCTVs.
To ensure compatibility, the latest software release from each company is required.
