Pocket Hal Grabs Federal Attention
31st Jan, 2007
Dave Williams leans casually against a railing, the San Francisco Bay as his backdrop, listening to his list of evening activities as rattled off by his PDA with Dolphin Pocket Hal. Williams, Dolphin's Mobile Products Manager, took his work on the road last summer with his "Pocket Hal Tour of America" in which he was able to access his email, keep appointments, and find contacts with his talking PDA.
Pocket Hal's proficiency for making work accessible caught the attention of Federal Computer Week, who decided to review this "nifty" screen reader for PDAs. The article discusses the reconstruction of legislation in the US to provide more work accessibility for persons with disabilities. To find out more visit the FCW website (article: Section 508 Reconstruction in Progress), or purchase the latest copy of Federal Computer Week.
