Supernova, Hal - the most Comprehensive Access to Eloquence
11th May, 2007
The recent release of version 7.03 saw the introduction of the popular Eloquence synthesiser as the default synthesiser for many of our local languages versions of SuperNova and Hal.
Both Dolphin screen readers provide the most comprehensive access to the full range of features available in the Eloquence speech synthesiser. Choose between any of the 8 preset Eloquence voices for each language: Adult Male, Adult Female, Child, Deep Male, Elderly female, Elderly male, Fast Female and Fast Male.
Use your Dolphin software to set up to five separate Eloquence voices enabling the user to instantly determine if the speech they hear is from the screen reader itself or is from an Edit Area, Windows Prompt, Menu, Document Read or Virtual Focus. Ideal for situations where you may want a slow voice for accuracy when editing text but a fast voice for skimming through text using Document Read.
Add, remove, edit and rename eloquence voices.
Create Eloquence voices which are to your tastes by controlling: Pitch, Intonation, Roughness, Breathiness, Head size and Gender.
For maximum compatibility with the widest range of audio hardware and software choose your Eloquence sample rate between 8KHZ and 11KHZ.
You can change your Eloquence voice by going to the 'speech menu' then 'voice and language'. To create your own voices go to the 'speech menu' then 'user defined voices'.
