Hal makes History in Jordan
27th Jun, 2007
At the beginning of June, History was made as 16 Jordanian female blind students, passed the ICDL exam using Hal. What made this unique was the fact that it had never been achieved before without extensive sighted help.
The Saudi Jordanian Institute, where the students studied for the exams, presented awards at a ceremony attended by H. H. Prince Raed Bin Zaid, H.E.
One of the awards went to Nattiq's representative in Jordan, Mr. Mohammed Al-Shara, for Nattiq's role in supplying the tools required for blind users to take the ICDL exam.
Nattiq, Dolphin's dealer in Jordan, invested considerable resources to enable our State-Of-The-Art Arabic screen reader, Hal, to get access to all the required ICDL materials and exam papers. As a result the future looks bright and dozens of blind people are expected to pass the ICDL exam independently before the end of the year thanks to Hal.
