UK Schools are now able to support their print impaired students using e-Learning Credits. EaseReader from Dolphin Computer Access Limited, is now a Curriculum Online approved resource, available to all UK schools. EaseReader is a simple to use Digital Talking Book (DTB) software player that will play all educational materials produced as DAISY Digital Talking Books. DAISY DTBs provide a truly multi-sensory experience, combining the text, audio and images in a single electronic book. As the audio is played, the on-screen text is highlighted, providing a cognitive link between the spoken word and the written text.
Designed specifically for people with print impairments (including blindness, low vision and dyslexia), EaseReader offers schools a high quality and easy to use, method for delivering education materials in a totally accessible way. Students gain the independence to access the information in a way that suits them best, and schools are given the peace of mind that they can support a policy of Inclusion and Integration in the classroom.

- 30% of what they see
- 50% of what they hear and see

Andrea Shirley from BECTA commented; "I am very impressed with the capabilities of EaseReader."
Steve Bennett, Dolphin Sales Director comments; "for some time now, many schools have asked if they can buy EaseReader using their e-Learning Credits. Now we are pleased to say they can. We hope by making EaseReader available in this way more students will benefit from using Digital Talking Books in the classroom and enjoy an enhanced learning experience."
There are currently over 140,000 DAISY books available worldwide, many of which are available free of charge to anyone who is registered blind. The RNIB, the National Library for the Blind (NLB) and the Learning and Skills library, all offer a full DAISY book service and provide a full range of books that support the UK Curriculum.

EaseReader can be purchased using e-Learning Credits from any Curriculum Online approved retailer selling EaseReader, such as R-E-M, Inclusive, IanSyst or RM.
