Japan DAISY Consortium use DAISY and EasyReader Express for critical life-saving information
4th May, 2011
Here is a fantastic use of DAISY talking books and EasyReader Express to provide public information in an accessible format.
To help support the recovery effort following the earthquake and tsunami disaster, Japan DAISY Consortium has launched a webpage to circulate critical life-saving information in DAISY talking book format.
All of the information has been made available in the accessible DAISY talking book format, and EasyReader Express has been added so that everyone can open the books, even if they don’t own a DAISY player themselves.
Have you ever read a Japanese DAISY talking book before?
The DAISY files with EasyReader Express added are available to download on the (Japanese Society for Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities (JSRPD) website (external link).
The full article is available in the April 2011 edition of the DAISY Planet newsletter (external link).
