EasyProducer FAQ
Can I control how words are pronounced/How should I use the Lexicon?
Within the settings window there is a Lexicon tab which can also be described as an exceptions dictionary. Here you can control how your chosen synthesiser pronounces specific words. For example, you may wish to force the synthesiser to fully read an acronym, rather than just the abbreviation. Simply enter individual words, which you want to be pronounced in a specific way, into the Lexicon and then type into the 'replace with' text box how you would like the word to be pronounced. Type the word how you wish to pronounce it rather than how it is really spelled, for example: google.com could be set to Google dot com. Use the 'Test' button to hear how the synthesiser will pronounce your word. Click 'Apply' to add it to the Lexicon when you are satisfied with the resulting sound. The word will now be pronounced as you have specified whenever it occurs in your document. It is worth noting that the Lexicon settings you create are unique to your chosen synthesiser so, if you change the voice you wish to use for a document, you will need to set up a new Lexicon to control the pronunciation.
