SuperNova Access Suite Case Study: Dolphin Pen helps study at San Francisco State University
As a Master’s student at San Francisco State University, Christina Wood uses her Dolphin SuperNova Pen as an aid to her studies and a stepping stone into her career. She plans to become teacher of students with disabilities, her concentration being in teaching students with visual impairments, like herself.
Christina began to lose vision her vision from about age 12 and is now considered legally blind. She still has some use of vision and finds SuperNova ideal as a combined screen reader and screen magnifier. She says, “I used to use jaws and I also used to use Zoomtext. One of the bigger reasons I wanted to switch to Dolphin Supernova was that it combined both.”
She finds that she has more flexibility and options in her computer access as she can now visit home and jump online. Christina says,” I couldn’t use my parents computer before.”
