New in version 4.01 (released: 23/01/2009)
Input Picture Files
EasyConverter versions 4 can now input one or several image files including JPG, JPEG, BMP, TIF and TIFF formats. This improvement is ideal for organizations that have previously scanned books but saved them as image files. If several images are selected, typically various pages scanned from a book, a separate dialog is displayed that enables you to preview and sort the images into the correct sequence. EasyConverter is also able to automatically invert the colors of the image, classically from a black background with white coloured text.
KES input
EasyConverter now opens and imports Kurzweil (.KES) project files created by Kurzweil 3000 version 8 or later. This newly supported input format is ideal for educational establishments who may have a history of scanning materials using Kurzweil, but now are looking to output to a wide range of alternative formats for a broader range of reading needs.

EasyConverter now allows users to create the very latest DAISY 3 books according to the Daisy 3 standard (ANSI/NISO Z39.86-2005).
