What's New in this version of Dolphin Guide?

Fixed in version 6.0.33 (released: 25/07/2012)

This update tackles a major cause of Guide crashes (the NTLoader) and includes better crash handling all round but especially on the web browser. Guide's web browser has been improved to remove inconsistencies, reduce crashes and fix various minor bugs. If Guide crashes then the system should recover automatically and return you to the Main Menu. A new voice engine speeds up the general responsiveness of Guide's speech in ALL areas and issues with creating MP3s and CDs have been addressed.

Internet:

FIXED: When using full web browser, Guide stopped announcing contents of a page (Bug #25801).
FIXED: Web browser was crashing to desktop with certain websites such as Amazon & Play.com (Bugs #25814, 23259).
FIXED: Quitting the web browser would sometimes return you to the Messenger or Extras menu instead of the Main menu. (Bug #25800).
FIXED: Web Browser failed to open on a 64 bit version of Windows 7 (Bug #24167).
FIXED: Some web browser address box commands were not working (Bug #19689).
FIXED: Guide web browser crashing after Adobe Flash 11 release (Bug #23401).
NEW: New website added to Danish language version of Favourites list in Guide's web browser (Bug #23810).

Voice:

FIXED: Email prompts missing (Bug #25898).
FIXED: F8 failed to restart the voice in Guide's web browser (Bug #24885).
FIXED: When browsing the web, Guide sometimes loses the voices (Bug #23798 ).
FIXED: Changing voices within Guide failed (Bug #25225).
FIXED: Some dialogs in the talking installer were not read out entirely (Bug #19851).

Emails:

FIXED: Email prompts were missing, when you selected 'receive new email' on a Win7 machine (Bug #25898).
FIXED: Guide would not save zip file attachments (Bug #24326).

Remote Support:

NEW: New Remote Support application included with Guide (Bug #23547).

Guide HandsFree:

NEW: Removed the ability to activate help using the question mark (?) character.

PDFs:

FIXED: issues reading PDF files (Bug #25224).

Photocopier:

FIXED: Guide crash/error during photocopying (Bug #24113).

Scan and Read:

FIXED: "Error Message" on last line of a scanned document (Bug #20582).

Typos:

FIXED: Incorrect demo information on the start-up splash screen for international versions (Bugs # 24164, 24588)
FIXED: Incorrect version number on the installation screen (Bug #25854).
FIXED: Old contact details for Dolphin in Address Book (Bugs #22880, 22975).
FIXED: In Czech language version of Guide some text was still in English or mispronounced (Bugs #20629, 19850, 19699, 19700, 19691).
FIXED: English phrase appearing in the dictionary menu of the Danish version of Guide (Bug #23809).

Help:

FIXED: A number of typos, incorrect word use, mispronunciations and layout issue in the Shortcut Key help content (Bugs #19204, 19170, 19171, 19207, 19208, 19209, 19164).
FIXED: UK English F1 help content missing in the "Setup Game screen colours" section (Bug #20559).

Skype:

FIXED: In international versions of Guide the number +44 was default in Skype's phone call option (Bug #25783).

CDs and MP3s:

FIXED: Failure while turning an audio CD into MP3s (Bugs #25193, 24254, 18887).
FIXED: Occasional crashes when playing an audio CD (Bugs #22897, 18525).

General:

FIXED: Crashes and freezes caused by the NT Loader, "ntdll.dll error" (Bugs #24033, 24042, 24168).
REMOVED: 'Update from CD' option is no longer required and has been removed from the menu (Bug #25196).
FIXED: Occasional failure during Guide installation on Windows Vista (Bug #25645).
FIXED: Guide auto starts even it is set not to auto start (Bug #23546). NOTE: Guide will autostart the first time following installation so that activation is prompted.
FIXED: Guide detects a version of Guide already installed even when there is not (Bug #25645).

Letters and Documents:

FIXED: It was only possible to copy, move or delete documents created with Guide (Bug #19282).

Keyboards:

Keyboard layouts can be switched by pressing ALT + SHIFT, changes are detected and announced by Guide.
The current keyboard layout can be announced by entering ALT+K

Dictionary:

NEW: Russian Guide is set to use Microsoft Word's Russian Dictionary and Thesaurus (when installed).
Alternative Microsoft Word Dictionaries can be selected from Guide's spelling menu.

NOTE: Adobe's Flash player may require an update in order to access the BBC's Listen Again service.
