EasyReader Case Study: The National Library for the Blind offer DAISY books to their members.

The National Library for the Blind (NLB) have completed a four month project, to evaluate the benefits of offering full text and audio DAISY books to their members. Over 400 blind and visually impaired members signed up for the project. Each participant received a free copy of Dolphin’s EaseReader DAISY player and a selection of twenty synthetically-voiced, full text and audio DAISY books.
The books were selected to offer the reader a wide range of content and styles, and included such titles as: “Eats, Shoots and Leaves” by Lynne Truss “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix” by JK Rowling “The Da Vinci Code” by Dan Brown “Of Mice and Men” by John Steinbeck All of the titles were created using Dolphin’s latest EasePublisher content creation software, and each of the project members received a free copy of Dolphin’s EaseReader software player, for playing the books.
